GARCIA, ANNA A.Memorial services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M., Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Trinidad Community Baptist Church for Anna Garcia, age 73, of Roswell, who passed away May 16, 2007. Rev. Jim Hopkins of Trinidad Community Baptist Church will officiate.

Anna was born January 30, 1934 in Alpine, Texas to Toribio and Leonor Armendariz. They both have preceded her in death as well as her husband Jesus B. Garcia.

Anna married Jesus B. Garcia in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

She is survived by two sons: Jesus Garcia, Jr and his wife Martha Garcia. of Roswell and Robert Daniel Garcia of Carlsbad; a daughter: Elvia Garcia of Roswell; four brothers: Ernest Armendariz of Roswell, Ruben Armendariz of Port Orchid, WA, Daniel Armendariz of Plano, TX, and David Armendariz of Roswell; five sisters: Alicia Ramirez of Alamogordo, Celia Moreno of Garland, Texas, Amy Kukendall of Ft. Worth, TX, Elizabeth Fisher of Lawton, OK, and Linda Armendariz of Roswell; and four grandchildren: Merlinda Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Marcos Garcia and Ian Garcia.

Anna was a housewife. Anna was a member of El Calvario Church where she served as Church secretary, later as a Sunday school teacher. She also taught bible school and other departments. Later Anna moved to what is now Trinidad Community Baptist Church. Anna being very active she belonged to several Christian groups, she went to the different nursing homes in Roswell to sing for the people. She also helped older people, taking them to church and cleaning for them.
