PENNER, MARGARETMemorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 3, 2008 at First United Methodist Church for Margaret Penner, age 99, of Roswell who passed away December 26, 2007 at a local care center. Rev Archie Echols of First United Methodist Church will officiate.

Margaret was born June 26, 1908 in Burr Oak, Kansas to Harold and Adeline Garber. They have preceded her in death.

Margaret began her education in a one room country school. She attended Mennonite Bethel College in Newton, Kansas, Church of the Brethren College in McPherson, Kansas, Highlands University in Las Vegas New Mexico. Margaret taught for 10 years in Kansas and 22 years in Roswell. When she retired she gave private piano lessons.

Margaret joined the Trinity Methodist Church and at a later date joined the First United Methodist Church where she looked forward to choir practice and participating on Sunday Mornings. She loved music, singing, camping being close to nature, fishing and needlework.
