Arsenia Flores
February 14, 1930 – March 27, 2025
It is well with my soul – a beautiful song and the story of the life of Arsenia Flores (nee Zamora). Arsenia, 95, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Arsenia, affectionately known as Moma, Abuela, Grandma, Great Grandma, Tia, Prima and Arsie, was born on February 14, 1930, in Lincoln, NM, to Vidal and Rita Zamora. She was one of seven children, and survived all of them. She overcame much hardship throughout her life and put her faith and trust in the Lord. She was a wonderful woman – filled with love, joy and wisdom, and her door was always open to anyone who needed it including her children, grandchildren, neighborhood kids and many others. She epitomized the example of the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31.
Arsenia is survived by her son, Kenneth; her granddaughter, Cindy Montalto (James) and her great grandson, Aaron; and many other relatives who will miss her deeply. She is predeceased by her parents, Vidal and Rita; her husband, Elauterio; her daughter, Rita; her son, John; her daughter-in-law, Sharon; and her grandson, Marcus; as well her brothers and sisters.
A special thank you to the dedicated workers at BeeHive Homes and Enhabit Home Health, who helped care for Arsenia during the last year of her life.
Funeral services will be private.
