Audrey Snow

Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 14, 2013, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, for Audrey W. Snow, age 95, of Fountain Valley, CA who passed away September 2, 2013. Doug Austin with Country Club Road Church of Christ will officiate with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held at LaGrone Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 3:005:00 PM.

Audrey was born December 29, 1917 in Clovis, New Mexico, the 8th of 11 children to Thomas Earl and Leola Rozzell Wright. She was raised on a farm by devout Christian parents who taught their children about the love of God and family. After graduating from Clovis High School, Audrey married James Gleason Wood, who was killed in Germany during WWII.

In 1946, Audrey met Morris H. Snow and they were married on June 12, 1948 in Clovis, NM. Audrey and Morris made their home in Roswell, where Audrey was a cherished wife and mother. Together they raised sons Stephen and James. Audrey was an active member of the Church of Christ, where she made many treasured friends. Audreys passions in life were taking care of her family, gardening and baking. Family and friends were always welcome for a good meal, a great dessert, usually a homemade pie and witty conversation. In 2004, Audrey and Morris moved to California where James and family were thankful to have them so near.

Audrey is survived by her sons Stephen Snow and his wife Judy of Parker, KS and James Snow and his wife Mary of Westminster, CA, grandchildren Stephen Snow, Jr., Michael Price, Matthew Snow and Stephanie Snow, and sister Ruby Mallet of Arlington, TX

She was preceded in death by husband Morris, her parents, seven sisters, Odessa, Elva, Lorene, Emmie, Elsie, Bonnie and Imogene, and two brothers Burnis and Milton.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New Mexico Christian Childrens Home, 1356 NM 236, Portales, NM 88130.
