BETTY LENORE HALEY, age 71, passed away December 2, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. A graveside memorial service will be held at Elida Cemetery at time to be announced. She lost her long time battle against breast cancer.

Betty was born March 15, 1938 to Ed and Julia Lee in Elida, New Mexico. They preceded her in death; as did her brother, Robert Lee and grandchild Richard Cates.

Betty is survived b y her three daughters and son: Cindy Cates and husband Robert of Roswell, Sidney Haley and Valerie of Roswell, Debbie Stiteler of Clovis, NM, Tamara McFarland and husband Michael, Jr., of Rochester, IN. Also surviving are grandchildren: Ursual Dodds, Andrea Martinez and husband Tony, and William Haley and wife Jessica, Cody Haley, Laura Haley-Bryant and husband Kevin, Daniel Haley, Oliver Lucero and Victoria Haley, Gavin Marando and Francisca Richardson. Betty has twelve great-grandchildren. She has a brother, Johnny Lee; a sister, Bonita Braasch, and sister-in-law, Carol Lee. She has a niece and nephew; Heidi Connolly and husband Michael, and Karl Brassch and wife Laura.

Betty attended and graduated Roswell high School in 1956.

Betty was an amazing homemaker and enjoyed sewing. She was a good mother and raised four Deaf Children. The children of Betty, would like to thank their mom for sending all of us to the New Mexico School of the Deaf in Santa Fe, NM.

Sidney would like to give special thanks to my Aunt Bonita and staffs of Albuquerque Heights Healthcare, Odyssey Hospice and UNM Hospital for the care given to Betty during the past.
