BLANCA S. MERINO – Blanca S. Merino, age 71, was called home by her heavenly father on Sunday, December 22, 2019 in Roswell. She was born on November 27, 1948 in Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico to Modesto and Margarita Gutierrez. Blanca later married her beloved husband, Bernardo on April 2, 1967.
Blanca is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Jorge and Fransisco; brother, Ramon and sisters, Hilda Meraz, Carmen Barrera, and Josephina Cisneros.
Blanca was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She made the best chile colorado and burritos that was loved by everyone. Blanca devoted her life to God, family, friends, and loved ones. One of her biggest accomplishments and proudest moments was in 2001 when she became a United States citizen. Her passing leaves a void in all our lives that can never be filled. Blanca will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Blanca is survived by husband, Bernardo; sons, Jesse Merino and wife, Veronica of Johnstown, Colorado; Eduardo Merino and wife, Maricela of Roswell, New Mexico; and Fredie Merino and wife, Christi of Canyon, Texas; grandchildren, Shelby Real, Adrian and wife, Tiffany Merino, Abigail Medeles, Christian Merino, Mikaela Merino, Eduardo Merino, and Jesus Merino; great-grandchildren, Reverie Merino, Lukas Mata, Gideon Merino, and one on the way.
