CHRISMAN, BOB J. Services are scheduled for Friday, June 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Bob J. Chrisman who passed away June 12, 2012 in Roswell. Gen. Jack Fox and Pastor Jim Bignell will officiate. Roswell Fire Dept. will provide honors.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, 2012 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Bob was born September 12, 1935 in Hagerman, NM to W. J. and Callie Chrisman. Bob retired from the Roswell Fire Dept. as Lieutenant after 21 years of service. Bob and his wife Sharon enjoyed his retirement years taking camping trips with many good friends. He was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Sharon York Chrisman who lives at the family home in Roswell. Bob is also survived by his 2 children, son: Bobby and partner Randy Stone of Phoenix, AZ and daughter Brenda Sims and her husband Alan of Roswell five grandchildren: Stacy Ingram and her husband John of Roswell, Kim Lusk and her husband Jeremy of Roswell, Brandon Chrisman and his wife Christina of Phoenix, AZ, Adam Chrisman of Phoenix, Brieanne Ford and her husband Tyler of Roswell great grandchildren: Koby, Cory and Audrey Garcia, Natalie and Brenna Lusk and Dakota Ingram all of Roswell one brother: Lloyd Chrisman and his wife Jenny of Roswell two sisters: Louise Rhodes and her husband Aaron of Phoenix, Ida James and her husband Gene of Roswell sister inlaw: Wanda Chrisman of Lovington, NM mother inlaw: Helen Franklin of Artesia, NM sisters inlaw: Margaret Grantham and her husband Floyd of Artesia, Janice Derrick and her husband Raymond of South Dakota, Sue Parker of Capitan, NM and numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Bob was the favorite uncle of all of them.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his dearly loved brother, Milton Chrisman of Lovington, NM.
Bob was above all else a family man. His love and his humor will be greatly missed
Pallbearers will be his nephews: Lindell Rhodes, Floyd Chrisman, Skeet Chrisman, Gary Corman, Ralph Cobos, Larry Grantham, Michael Grantham, and William Bradshaw.
