Bobby Postlewaite

POSTLEWAITE, BOBBY RUTH Age 83, of Roswell, passed away peacefully in the presence of family on Memorial Day, which is fitting because she will be remembered lovingly by so many people whose lives she touched. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ernie and three children, Terri Kelly of Albuquerque husband Dennis, Mark Postlewaite of Lubbock wife Patricia, Sharon Calhoun of Los Alamos husband Michael grandchildren Sean, Danny, Katelyn, Holly, and Dolly Kelly Christopher and Steven Calhoun Austin and Evan Postlewaite and great grandchildren Birdie and Tripp Leal Finn and Oscar Kelly.
She worked for the FBI, the late Judge Edwin Leard Mechem when he was Governor of New Mexico and US Senator, and the Chavez County Clerks office. She was actively involved in and loved her dear friends in Womens Club, Republican Women, and the Telephone Pioneers and was passionate about the work of these organizations.
She won her battles with breast cancer and a staph infection after a knee replacement, and fought hard against the recently diagnosed colon cancer. Despite excellent care she was receiving, she lost the last battle and is now with her beloved mother, Pearl and father, Gilbert Chancellor brothers, Bill and George Chancellor and sister, Virginia Fetz.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2pm at La Grone Funeral Chapel, 900 Main Street. There will be a reception at 6 Walking Cane Lane immediately following the service.
