Bobby Turner

TURNER, BOBBY DALE Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at South Park Cemetery for Bobby Dale Turner, age 69, of Roswell, who passed away June 2, 2008, at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Robert Teague will officiate.

Bobby was born April 4, 1939 in Roswell to Albert and Mary Turner. They both have preceded him in death as well as two brothers, Clarence and Herman Turner and three sisters, Shirley Melancon, Lillie Mae Holstun and Marie Cecil

Bobby married Patsy Miles on December 22, 1961 in Dexter, NM. She survives him at the family home.

Other survivors include: a son: Robert Turner of Roswell; a daughter Deborah Dunaway and her husband Toby of Idalou, TX; Brother-in-law: Jesse Melancon of Roswell: Sister-in-law: Jean Turner of Gig Harbour, WA; grandchildren: Kaysha Dunaway, Cheyenne Dunaway, Courtney Clayton, Meghan Turner, Chelsea Turner and Collin Turner. Special friends: Robert Teague of Duncan, OK and Forest Metcalf of Roswell;

He retired from U.S. West after 31 years as a telephone repairman. He was a partner in the Pecos Valley Honey Co., an avid hunter and fisherman and was a deacon of the West Alameda Church of Christ.
