Boleslaus Ukockis

UKOCKIS, BOLESLAUS BILL FRANK -- Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 14, 2006, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel , for Boleslaus Bill Frank Ukockis, age 84 of Roswell, who passed away September 10, 2006 at a local nursing home. Fr. Andrew of Assumption Catholic Church will conduct the service. The family will receive friends at LaGrones immediately following the service.

Interment will be at 2:30 PM, Friday, September 15, 2006 at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with military honors provided by Santa Fe Veterans Honor Guard.

Bill was born December 12, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois, to Frank and Nellie Rickus Ukockis. Both parents preceded him in death.

He married Bertha Bukovy on February 23, 1946 in Chicago. She preceded him in death also.

Bill had served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. He had retired as a mechanical engineer for a coal mining company. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, The American legion Post 28 and a member of the V.F.W.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Ukockis of Pahrump, Nevada, two grandchildren; Michelle Tindol and Rhonda Ukockis, and two great-grandchildren, Catlyn Tindol and Morgan Tindol.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel.
