Carl Arnold

Carl Burnell Arnold, age 93, of Roswell, NM has gone to be with the Lord on March 27, 2016. Carl passed with his family by his side at ENMMC. Carl will be available to receive family and friends at LaGrone Funeral Chapel on Wednesday March 30, 2016 from 10am to 7pm. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday March 31, 2016, at Mountain View Baptist Church; burial will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park. Pastor Andrew Heath, Pastor Rick Mitchell, and Terry Johnson II will be officiating.

Carl was born in Minco, OK on July 9, 1922 to Andrew S. Arnold and Jessie P. Ketner-Arnold. He married Clara L. Lewis on October 25, 1943 in Roswell, NM. They had 2 children, Susan and Carl Jr. Carl was an Army veteran of WWII and worked for ICX Trucking for 36 years as the dock foreman.

He was a Christian man who was an active member of the Mountain View Baptist Church for over 30 years, chairmen of deacons 15 years, and still served as church treasurer, usher and Sunday school teacher. He was very dedicated to his church family, as he was the first at church on Sunday to turn on the coffee, lights and heater and the last to leave and lock everything up.

His loving wife Clara L Arnold, daughter Susan Lucas, grandson Greg Arnold, 7 brothers, and 2 sisters have all preceded him in death.

Survivors include Carl Arnold, Jr., granddaughter Lisa Hill, great grandson Cody King, great granddaughter Courtney King, and great-great grandson Isaiah Hernandez, grandson Greg Arnold late husband of Mae Penfield and her husband Mike, great granddaughter Jordan Ashley Arnold, great-great grandson Sterling Arnold, granddaughter Carol Lane and husband William, great grandsons Anthony Hill, John Patterson and Wesley Lane, great granddaughter Lena Patterson, great-great grandchildren Zoey, Mark, Zane, Carson and Kamryn Patterson, grandson Carl Lucas and fiancé Lana, great grandson Tristan Lucas and great granddaughter Echo Fenner and grandson Carl Arnold III and wife Audra and so many others very loved by Carl.

Pallbearers will be Carl B. Arnold III, Carl Lucas, Cody King, Terry Johnson II, Travis Johnson, and Francis Fulton, Jr.
