ARAGON, CASTULO --A Rosary will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, August 17, 2007 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, for Castulo Aragon, age 82 of Roswell, who passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at his home, surrounded by his children. The funeral service will be on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 9:00 AM at St. Peters Catholic Church, with Deacon Howard Herring officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.BRBRCastulo was born March 1, 1925 in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico, to Melecio and Besenta Lucero Aragon. Both parents have preceded him in death, as well as two brothers, Frank and Arsenio, two sisters, Sophia Gallegoes and Melecia Lopez, and one grandson, Steven Lovato. BRBRHe married Julia Sanchez on April 10, 1945 in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico. She also preceded him in death. BRBRMr. Aragon had been employed by the New Mexico State Hwy. Road Construction department. He was a member of St. Peters Parish.BRBRSurvivors include a son, Castulo Aragon, Jr. of Roswell, 6 daughters; Mary Alice Casaus of Queen Creek, AZ, Virginia Araiza of Gilbert, AZ, Rosie Lovato of Roswell, Marti Fossum of Columbus Heights, Minn., Kathy Aragon of Roswell, and Janice Gavlik of Clovis, NMBRAlso surviving are two sisters, Floyde Coronado, and Cruizita Portillo both of Roswell; and 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family and friends.BRHe also enjoyed Bingo, Horse Racing and Casinos.BRBRPallbearers will be Anthony Casaus, Michael Casaus, Michael-Anthony Alanis, Alex Lovato, Bill Araiza, Fred Trujillo, Ronnie Aragon and Perry Lopez.
