Catherine had become a renowned artist whose work has been selected for the permanent collection at the Roswell Museum and Art Center. It is only one of many honors. I feel I have a Godgiven talent and it should be shared with others she said. By the age of 7 Catherine had learned to play the piano and organ. She played for three churches in her hometown every Sunday. She said one of her greatest achievements was going to her high school graduation without the brace that pursued her through childhood. She was awarded for perfect attendance. Her grade point was two points below the salutatorian. She graduated from Mason College in Charleston, W. Virginia with a Bachelors degree in art. She received her Masters degree in art from the Artist Student League in New York City. She had studied under the wellknown artist Julien Levie. In 1973 Catherine taught art and music to under privileged children in Roswell. She worked many years at the Salvation Army as a volunteer and also Trinity House of Worship. In 1981 she was a participating artist at the governors galley of outstanding works by disabled persons. Her work was viewed by the Roswell Art Council. Catherine enjoyed music, crocheting knitting and embroidery.
We would like to thank Mission Arch Care Center and Vista Care Hospice for taking such wonderful care and being part of Catherines family.
