Charles Hartley

HARTLEY, CHARLES W. Memorial services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 10 , 2012 at 11:00 AM, at West Alameda Church of Christ for Charles W. Hartley age 79,of Roswell, who passed away April 6, 2012 at a local hospital. Harry Tackett will officiate.
Charles was born May 3, 1932 in Roswell, NM to Charles and Lois Hartley, who have preceded him in death as well as a brother, Nolan C. Hartley and a son, Jerry D. Lindsey.
He worked for US West for 30 years and retired at a young age. In his early years, he was a square dance caller with a voice like Charlie Pride. At all social gatherings, he was the life of the party. He could come up with a new joke on the spot and keep you laughing for hours.
He is survived by his wife Anita of the family home as well as sons Ricky W. Hartley and wife Terri, Randy Hartley and Michael A Lindsey and daughters Debbie Blessing and husband Van and Terry White and husband Ron. He is also survived by seven grandchildren Jerry Don Lindsey Jr., Lindsey BlessingParsons and husband Josh, Shannon Hartley, Ryanne Hartley, Rachel Hartley, Zachary Henry and Warren Hartley.
