, CHARLES H.Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Church on the Move, for Charles H. Reading, age 68, of Roswell, who passed away January 14, 2007 at his residence surrounded by family. Pastor Troy Smothermon will officiate, Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Charles was born on February 18, 1938 in Comanche, Oklahoma to Walter F. and Lois Miller Reading. He is preceded in death by his father and a brother, Samuel L. Reading.

On October 17, 1987 he married Christine Powell in Roswell, New Mexico. She survives him at the family home.

He is also survived by his sons: Joseph Stone and his wife Emoke of Muldrow, OK, Gary C. Powell and his wife Rosie of Albuquerque, NM. and Brian A. Powell and his wife Jana of Roswell, NM.; a daughter: Paula D. Rynkowski and her husband Don of Crystal, MI.; a sister: Viola L. Graham and her husband John of Palatka, FL.; and his mother: Lois Reading of Albuquerque, NM.; his mother-in-law: Anna Mae Mendoza; Sister-in-law: Betty Trujillo, Irene Keck and her husband Bill, Laurie Burrow and her husband Paul and Lou Reading. Near and dear to his heart were his 17 seventeen grandchildren: John Sprague and his wife Marie, Rachel Sprague, Joshua Sprague and Katie Sprague, Benjamin Stone and Daniel Stone, Gary Powell, Sista Powell, Victoria Powell, Clarissa Lujan and Ariel Lujan, Kayla Powell and Korey Powell, Ashlyn Woods and Katelyn Woods, Brad Rynkowski and Chris Rynkowski and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles was owner and operator of C. Reading Plumbing Air Conditioning in Roswell for 39 years. He was also a lifetime member of Roswell Sertoma Club. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Anyone who knew Charlie knew that he was a very fair and decent man and was dearly loved by all. His love and kindness towards people and his generosity will alwasy be remembered.

Pallbearers will be Facundo Carrillo, Tim Dunnahoo, Larry Fitts, Mike Hamilton, Henry Hernandez and Bill Keck.
