GWINN, CHARLOTTE A. Funeral services is scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 3, 2011, at West Country Club Church of Christ for Charlotte A. Gwinn, age 85, of Roswell, who passed away on October 30, 2011. Doug Austin with West Country Club Church of Christ will officiate with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.
Charlotte was born August 1, 1926 in Roswell to Ben and Thelma McWhorter. Her father and mother has preceded her in death as well as five brothers and a sister.
Charlotte married Aral B. Gwinn on October 25, 1952 in Lubbock, Texas. He survives her at the family home.
She is also survived by her son: Malcolm and Elaine Gwinn of New Castle Indiana, daughter: Angela Turrieta of Roswell brother Gordon and Ila Mae McWhorter of Weatherford, TX five grandchildren , Deanne Molyneaux Russell and her husband Nick of Roswell, Cassie Hill and her husband Cole of Roswell, Brandy Reeves and her husband Mikey of Roswell, Aulana Gideon and her husband Joshua of New Castle, Indiana, Nathan Gwinn and his wife Brittany of Nashville, TN
Eight great grandchildren: Brooke Daubert, Degan Hill, Allison Gideon, Brandon Russell, Julia Russell and Anastasia Daliege, Jayden and Landry Reeves. Also survived by Herbert and Delma Johnson, brother and sisterinlaw of Clearwater, Florida.
Charlotte was a housewife, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a devoted member of Country Club Church of Christ since 1980. One of her favorite activities was being a member of the TOPS Weightloss Club, where her duties were weight recorder. She was a member for over 40 years with her best friend Francis Carter. Charlotte and A.B. Gwinn have been happily married for 59 years. She was dearly loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers will be Malcolm Gwinn, Gordon McWhorter, Cole Hill, Nick Russell, Mikey Reeves, Nathan Gwinn and Herbert Johnson.
