Chris Alarcon
Chris was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He passed away at the age of 61 on January 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends, including Juanita, his wife of 23 years. Chris was born on June 4, 1963, to his father, Felix Alarcon and his mother Irma Alvarez. Chris met Juanita in Ruidoso, New Mexico and fell in love at first sight.
He was an amazing and hardworking man who never asked for more than to be a friend yet loved all who knew him as his own family. Chris had a huge, loving and generous heart. He consistently put the needs of everyone else in front of his own. Without hesitation he’d give his last dollar, a meal, a place to stay, the shirt off his back or whatever he had to a person in need. Chris was a family man who was always there. No matter what, when, or where, if called on he showed up without any questions or conditions. He always made sure to help those he loved stand back up anytime they began to fall. He always welcomed everyone with open arms and no judgment, allowing all the freedom to be their authentic selves around him.
Chris was raised in Oklahoma City before coming to Roswell. He worked at CAVU Aero Space but spent much of his life as a mechanic focusing on heavy equipment and machinery. Chris was also a faithful member of Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church in Roswell, New Mexico. Everything he did, he made sure to do it wholeheartedly and with love. He was a constant source of wisdom and warmth whose presence made everything feel a little more stable and safe. Chris’s love and support helped shape the lives of his loved ones.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Irma Alarcon and his in-laws, Daniel and Juanita Valdez.
He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Alarcon of Roswell, NM; his son Daniel John Suarez and wife Ashlea of Roswell, NM; Daughters Tina Allen and husband Earnest Ray of Tampa, FL; Elizabeth Landrum and husband Shane of Moore, OK; Kathryn Moore and Husband Bobby of Edmond, OK; Brothers Felix Alarcon and wife Karen of Moore, OK; Alex Alarcon of Oklahoma City, OK; and Arturo Alarcon of Oklahoma City, OK; Sisters Jane Grismer and husband Paul of Edmund, OK; Anna Giese and husband Kurt of Oklahoma City, OK; and 13 grand-children Aaliyah and husband Charles; Aacacia; Jonathan; Jozyah; Xiryiuh; Priscilla; Neveah; Daniella; Daniel John Jr; Camden; Ripken; and Paxton.
