Chris Meadows

MEADOWS, CHRISA celebration of life, is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 15, 2009 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Chris Meadows, Age 47 of Roswell, NM. Pastor Tim Aguilar of Church of the Move will officiate, friends and family may also share reflection on Chris, during the celebration and at www.lagronefuneralchapels.com

After a brief illness in Albuquerque, surrounded by his loving family and friends, Chris was called home to Heaven.

Chris was born on November 25, 1961, in Roswell to Ralph and Callie Meadows.

He attended school in Ft. Sumner, NM where he excelled in Basketball, Track, and his passion, Football.

He worked as a hand for numerous oil companies and for Armstrong Construction, until he was disabled.

He spent his final years avidly gardening, fishing and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys never call during the Cowboys game

He was never happier, than when he was helping friends and family.

Chris is survived by his wife Marie Meadows, whom he married on March 20, 1993, four sons: Christopher Meadows, Roswell, NM, Lewis Meadows, Ft. Sumner, Jesse Lard, Roswell and Jason Lard, Amarillo, TX, his daughter, Margaret Briggs, Roswell, NM., Brother: Billy Meadows, Ft. Sumner, children, Billy Jr., Amanda, Benjamin and Dylan. Sister Karen Foster, Her husband Lee, children, Stacy Foster, Clovis, NM, Travis his wife Vanessa and daughter Madison, Ft. Sumner. His father, Ralph Meadows and his wife Bea, Roswell, NM, mother, Callie Herring and her husband Kildee, Ft. Sumner, NM, Grandchildren, Annavette and Revae Meadows, Crystal Rose Briggs, and Kaleb Lard.

A memorial fun has been established at Pioneer Bank.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel.
