YORK, CHRISTOPHER CHRIS-Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at Church On The Move for Chris York, age 34, of Roswell, who went to meet Jesus on February 15, 2007. Pastor Troy Smothermon will be conducting the service.

Chris was born in Roswell on November 17, 1972 to Jackie and Pat Mabry York.

Chris married Tracy Lawrence, the love of his life, on February 14, 1993, in Roswell, New Mexico.

Chris is survived by his wife Tracy, of 14 years, 2 sons, Shadduc and Austin and 1 daughter, Shylynn of the family home. Also surviving him are his parents, Pat York of Roswell and his father, Jackie York of Decatur, Texas and one brother, Shannon York of Albuquerque. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Wendell and Ruby Mabry and Paternal grandparents, Clyde and Opal York.

Chris was the owner and operator of York Transmission for many years. He loved fishing and camping, but most of all, he loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother. His brother Shannon, said he was the best brother anyone could have. His parents said he was the love of their life and the apple of their eye. Tracy, his wife, said Chris was the love of her life and her best friend. Chris lived his life for his wife and kids, whom he loved more than anything else. He loved God, and he loved his country. A great freind to many. He loved helping others, very rarely putting himself before anyone else.

Chris would want us to acknowledge his closest friends, Eddie and Anthony Aguilar, Sam Sigala and his family, and Lloyd Hamilton. He will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers will be Shannon York, Eddie Aguilar, Anthony Aguilar, Sam Sigala, Lloyd Hamilton, and Darrell Lawrence.
