Cinderella Carrasco

Cinderella "Cindy" Armijo Carrasco, age 89, of Roswell passed away Wednesday March 30, 2016. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, April 4, 2016 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM following the visitation. A Mass will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Father Charlie Martinez will be officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Cinderella was born to Federico and Reyes-Rodriguez Armijo on January 1, 1927 in Carlsbad, NM. She married the love of her life Simon N. Carrasco; their family grew from there. Cinderella's life was full and complete as a housewife and a mother. As her family grew even more Cinderella enjoyed and loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Mom also enjoyed cooking, sewing, camping in the RV, gardening in her backyard, and attending church services at St. Peter Catholic Church. Later in life she enjoyed attending the Adult Day Care provided by The Joy Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband Simon N. Carrasco, her parents Federico and Reyes Rodriguez-Armijo, son Jerry S. Carrasco, daughters Priscilla Ruiz, Drucilla Del Llano, grandchildren Jessica Reinhart, Jerry F. Carrasco, brother Albian Armijo, and her sister Corina Acosta.

She is survived by daughters Sally Inman and her husband Bruce of Indiana; Nancy and Belva Carrasco of Roswell, NM; Cruz (Lupe) Biscaino of Carlsbad; son Paul Carrasco and his wife Martina of Hobbs, NM; as well as 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. An honorable mention of nieces Chris Sillas and Carol Garcia of Carlsbad, NM.

Pallbearers will be Paul E. Carrasco, Danny Del Llano, Phil Hobbs, Brian Inman, Michael Montanez, Jason Inman, Tony Strange, and Donald Ross.
