Connie Marlene DeNio

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Connie Marlene DeNio, a beloved mom and Mimi who left this earth on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

Connie was born October 13, 1946, in Roswell, NM to LA and Allene Stephens.  She married the love of her life, Steve DeNio on July 3, 1982, in Cloudcroft, NM.  We are all blessed for having had her in our lives, and take comfort in the fact that although Connie’s journey has ended, her journey with Steve will continue.

Connie realized her calling as a Realtor and quickly became the broker of Re/Max of Roswell and received many awards throughout her career but mostly she loved helping people find the perfect place to call home.  Connie served on the board for the Roswell Realtors Association and NM State Realtor Association.  She also donated her time serving the Working Mother’s Day Nursery for as long as we can remember.

Connie was a pillar of love and strength in our family.  As we mourn the physical loss of our mom, we celebrate a life well-lived.  Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and unwavering faith.  Connie loved spending time with numerous friends studying the bible, teaching her family about God and attending Christ Church on Sundays.  

Connie is preceded in death by her parents LA and Allene Stephens, sister Charlotte Burge, son Jason Eugene DeNio and her baby, Steve DeNio.

Those left to cherish Connie’s memory are her children Jamie Bouldin of Roswell, NM; Jolie Van Winkle and wife Stephanie Taylor Marshall of Albuquerque, NM, and son Dustin DeNio and wife Maureen of Roswell, NM.  Her grandchildren Bennett Bouldin and fiancé Riley Severide of Waco, TX; Lauren Bouldin of Las Cruces, NM, and Jason and DeLaney DeNio of Roswell, NM were the light of her life.  Connie is also survived by her faithful companions Bongo, an African Grey Parrot and Chloe, her faithful dog that NEVER left her side. 

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Christ Church.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Connies name to the Roswell Working Mother’s Day Nursery. 

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to caregivers Aracely, Dorothy, Nina and Josie.  Thank you for loving our mom as your own and taking such amazing care of her. You each brought so much joy, laughter, and stories to her days, along with some amazing enchiladas.
