Coreene O'Dell

ODELL, COREENECoreene ODell, 89 ,of Roswell New Mexico, passed away on May 12th, 2012.

She was born in Bryce, AZ, on October 26, 1922 to James Phillip Walker and Martha Evelyn Tortenberry. Coreene ODell was married to Eugene Garvin ODell, May 11, 1940 in Lordsburg, NM. Gene preceded her in death and son James Garvin ODell Jim, her parents, and her sisters, Verneal Costa, Margaret McCormick, EmmaJean Van Malveghem, and her GreatGreat Grandson, Ryan Gluff.

Coreene ODell spent her life as a stay at home mom with her two children Jim and Paulette. She was an extraordinary wife and mother. She was very active member of her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints, where she held and served in many callings. She and her husband Gene ODell served a church mission in Nebraska where they spent their time aiding families and spreading the Gospel.

She is survived by her daughter Paulette Wheat and husband Gordon F. Wheat, her brother Phillip Walker and wife Priscilla Pat Walker, Grandchildren, Christopher ODell and wife Wendy ODell, Terra Betancourt and husband Frank Betancourt, Brent Wheat and wife Shawna Wheat, Eric Wheat and wife Lara Wheat, Sherry States and husband Wayne States, and Angie Flores. She is also survived by 15 Great Grandchildren, and 4 GreatGreat Grandchildren, and numerous family and friends.

A viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m. and the Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints.
