Dale Staten

STATEN, DALE LEON -- Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, September 25, 2009 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Dale Leon Staten, age 76, of Roswell, who passed away September 22, 2009. Rev. Jim Bignell of Aldersgate United Methodist Church will officiate.

Dale was born November 30, 1932 in West Portsmouth, Ohio, to Wilbur and Ola Staten. They have preceded him in death as well as a brother, Clarence Otis Staten and a sister, Eunice Entler.BRBRDale married Ruby on September 29, 1962 in Hondo, NM. She survives him at the family home. BRBRSurvivors also include a step-son: R.L. Phillips of Calnevari, NV; Brothers: Bill Staten of Portsmouth, OH, Robert Staten of Dayton, OH, and Ronald Staten of South Carolina; Sisters: Gwenda Kennard of Lady Lake, FL, and Patricia Burchett of Scottsdale, AZ; Four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Dale served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a retired truck driver for Bill Stone Feed and Grain out of El Paso, TX. Dale had been a resident of Roswell since 1951. He was a member of the Aldersgate Methodist Church.
