Della Jamison

JAMISON, DELLA M. Della M. Jamison, age 104, of Roswell, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2007 at Mission Arch Nursing home. Della as requested no services. She will be intered beside her husband at Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, Monday, March 12, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Della was born February 4, 1903 in Clay County, Tennessee to Hugh and Mary Collins. They both preceded her in death as did her husband C.H. Jamison and two sons J.H. Mathis and W.D. Mathis.

Della married H.C. Harold Jamison, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1942. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1951

Survivors include grandchildren, John Mathis and his wife Beverly, George Mathis, Harold Mathis, Denise Green and her husband Ace, Kevin Mathis and step- granddaughter, Sandra Evans and her husband Joe. She has numerous great grandchildren. Also a daughter-in-law, Lucille Mathis.

Della moved to Roswell in 1958. She was along time member of Country Club Church of Christ.

She was a professional seamstress. Over the years, she made clothes, drapes and quilts for many Roswell residents. She loved to crochet and knit in her spare time.

Grandma was a resident at Mission Arch almost three years. We want to thank everyone at the nursing home for the care they gave her.
