LeBEAU, DENNIS L. -- A Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M, Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at St. Peters Catholic Church for Dennis L. LeBeau, age 69, of Roswell, who peacefully passed away July 15, 2006 after a prolonged illness at a local nursing home. The Resurrection Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 20, 2006 at St. Peters Catholic Church, with Fr. Paul Juniet will conduct the service. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery, with Military honors provided by the Roswell Veterans Honor Guard.
Dennis was born May 10, 1937 at Cheyenne River Indian Reservation of South Dakota, to Albert M. and Beatrice Philbrick LeBeau, Jr.. His parents preceded him in death, as well as a brother.
Dennis attended a number of schools during his lifespan, St. Josephs and Stephan Indian Catholic Mission School, Public Schools culminating with a Bachelors of Science degree Religious Studies and an Associate Degree in Business Management from the University of Eastern New Mexico, Portales, NM.
Dennis was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Parish. He had worked as an engineering technician for the U. S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, worked for a number of Tribal and Local general engineering organizations and had been a Substance Abuse Counselor with Counseling Associates until his retirement. He served his country in the U S Navy from 1957 until 1961. He was an Aviation Technician.
He is survived by two brothers, Myron and Ellsworth LeBeau of Roswell, and four children; Candace LeBeau of Eagle Butte, South Dakota, DeeAnn LeBeau of Rapid City, South Dakota, Dane LeBeau of Mt. Zion, Georgia, and Raynard LeBeau of Roswell, NM. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and an assortment of nephews and nieces.
Dennis will be remembered as a man who was, in addition to his devotion to Christianity, was passionate to his Christian music composition for voice and guitar, golf and fishing.
A special thank you from the family goes to the nurses and staff of Sunset Villa Care of Roswell and Roswell Hospice Care, for their kindness shown to our father and grandfather.
