SIEG, DOLORES- Dolores Sieg, 74, of Roswell, NM, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, November 18, 2019, after a courageous battle with heart disease.
Dolores (Dee) was born in Rupert, ID to Emil and Edna Mayer on January 31, 1945, and attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Boise, ID in her youth. She had a long career as a registered nurse, a profession that she dearly loved. She carried her love for caring for both people and animals long into her retirement years and was a blessing to many. Dolores was married to the love of her life, George Sieg, on June 17, 2007, at Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Colorado. She was an incredibly loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was adored by many and will be missed.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Emil Mayer, her first husband, James M. Light, and her brother, Russell Mayer.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, George Sieg, of Roswell, NM, her daughter, Erika Roberg (and son-in-law Eric) of Denver, Colorado, and her three grandchildren, Caleb (13), Andrew (11), and Gavi (9), of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by her siblings, Rick Mayer of Ogden, UT, Tony Mayer, of Twin Falls, ID, Ken Mayer of Pinehurst, ID, Margaret Herzog of Bellingham, WA, and Mary Castronova of Boise, ID, as well as many nieces and nephews.
