Dorman Fox

FOX, DORMAN REX Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Monday June 25, 2007 at Memory Lawn Memorial Park for Dorman R. Fox, age 92, of Roswell who passed away June 22, 2007 at a local nursing home. Rev, Doug Austin of Country Club Church of Christ will officiate the graveside.

Dorman was born August 8, 1914 in Olden, Texas to George and Jessie Fox. They have preceded him in death.

Dorman married Pat Furlong on April 6, 1946 in Roswell. She survives him at the family home.

Dorman is also survived by two sons Steve Fox and his wife Nancy of El Paso, TX, and Jack Fox and his wife Marvine of Santa Fe, NM, a sister Darlene Holt of Abilene, TX. He is survived by four grandchildren Troy Fox and his wife Melissa of Dalhart, TX, Misty Collins and her husband Michael of Tucson, AZ, Paige Fox of El Paso, TX, and Ashley Fox of El Paso, TX, and two great grandchildren Garrett Fox and Chelsey Fox of Dalhart, TX.

Dorman was manager and vice president of Herring Distributing. He was a member of Country Club Church of Christ and V.F.W. member. Dorman was a veteran of WWII with service in North Africa and Normandy. He received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Combat Infantry Badge.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the New Mexico Christian Childrens Home in Portales, NM.
