Dorothy Felio

FELIO, DOROTHY E. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Dorothy E. Felio, age 93, who passed away on January 17, 2011. Rev. Matt Brooks with First Baptist Church will officiate.

Dorothy was born on December 1, 1917 in Plover, Wisconsin to Irving and Flossy Brown. They have both preceded her in death as well as three brothers and eight sisters.

Dorothy married Elmer Earl Felio on June 18, 1941 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He retired after 20 years as a Chief Master Sergeant at Walker Air Force Base, Roswell. He also preceded her in death. Their son Larry Felio also preceded her in death.

Dorothy is survived by a daughter: Elnor Downs and her husband Phil of Roswell Bonnie Genelle Felio wife of Larry Felio who preceded her in death of Midland: sisters: Floetta Barton of Ooltewah, TN and Reva Jones of Monroe WI sisterinlaw Irene Belmore of Stevens Point, WI six grandchildren: Shariene Felio Sessions Daryl of Lubbock Tamara Downs Trice Jeff of North Richland Hills, TX David Felio Roxy of Flower Mound, TX Derek Downs Cathy of Flower Mound, TX Christina Felio of Dallas, TX Mary Felio Galeas Edwin of Midland, TX and ten great grandchildren.

In her early days, Dorothy was a schoolteacher in a oneroom schoolhouse, first through eighth grade. After marriage she was a housewife, mother and faithful support for her husband.

Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church where she dearly loved her Sunday School Class and many friends. When she became homebound, she was very grateful to the First Baptist Church television ministry for providing the opportunity for her to worship at home.
