Edith Akin

AKIN, EDITH Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 29, 2014 at South Park Cemetery for Edith Akin, age 81, of Roswell who went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2014. Pastor Jerry Beaver of Tabernacle Baptist Church will officiate.
Edith was born February 11, 1933, in Melrose, NM to George and Mollie Kindsfather. They have preceded her in death as well as a son Johnny Akin and two sisters Neva and Laura.
Edith married Jay W. Akin on September 29, 1948 in Plains, Texas. He has also preceded her in death.
Edith is survived by a son: George Akin and his wife Tammy of Mansfield, TX a daughter: Debbie Harman and her husband Steve of Littleton, CO sister: Iva Dillon of Ft. Worth, TX grandchildren: Whitney Loftin, Taylor Akin, Brooke Akin, Tiffany Gravina and William Strickland and his wife Megan great grandchildren: June Loftin, Laim Strickland, Madison Strickland and Connor Strickland.
She was a longtime resident of Roswell. Edith was a Manager for Safeway Grocery Stores.
Edith was a mother that lived for her children and loved them dearly. She will be greatly missed by her family.
