GLEASON, EDITH EVELYN Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A. M., Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the West Country Club Church of Christ. Doug Austin will officiate, with interment to be at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirkville, Missouri.

Evelyn, as she was known to many, was born January 6, 1929 in Belleville, Illinois to Leroy and Florence Farris Gleason. They preceded her in death, as well as one brother, Lowell Gleason a niece, Carol Ann Anderson and a nephew, Michael Gleason.

She is surivied by one brother, Orville Gleason and his wife Yvonne of Davenport, Iowa her nephew Donald Gleason and wife Dawn, and Michaels wife Vickie as well as four great nieces, two greatgreat nieces and two greatgreat nephews.

Evelyn grew up in Kirksville, Missouri. She worked for the HyVie for 21 years in the bakery where she was well known for her cake decorating skills. She moved to Roswell in 1990. Evelyn was an active member of the West Country Club Church of Christ, always willing to help in any way she could. For several years, she was primary care giver to her dear friend, Jean Boyd, until her own illness prevented her from doing so. She was also a member of R.S.V.P. and enjoyed her volunteer work with them as long as her health permitted. Evelyn will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

A special thanks to Vista Care Hospice, especially Caroline, and to Dave at Sunset Villa and those on the staff who cared for Evelyn with love and kindness.
