Our Dad was sincerely loved and respected by his many friends, co-workers and family. Our Dad would go out of his way to help anyone in need. He coached his son’s baseball teams and later Erica’s t-ball team. He supported his children in all of their school and sports activities (pop flies at the softball fields, freezing at track meets and snowball fights at the Wool Bowl) and the other aspects of their lives. Our Dad enjoyed driving and exploring the many roads all around his district while working for the Highway Department and making numerous friends along the way. He loved playing pranks on his co-workers, pitching horseshoes and a good game of pool. Our Dad was an active member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister, Usher and Choir Member where he loved to sing and put himself in charge of the Choir set-up.
The Navarrette family are extremely grateful and would like to deeply thank all of the wonderful staff at The Village at Northrise Homestead Program in Las Cruces, NM who loved and took such good care of our Dad in the final years of his life.
