Estie Stamper

Stamper, Estie Marie Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Grace Community Church on Friday, July 8, 2011 for Estie Marie Stamper, age 86, of Roswell who passed away July 3, 2011. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Pastor John Drusedum of Grace Community Church and Pastor Billy Tucker of Trinity Baptist Church, High Rolls, New Mexico will officiate.

Estie was born on May 31, 1925 in Ashland, Kentucky to Ernest and Lora Boggs Leadingham. They preceded her in death.

She married Everett Stamper on November 24, 1945. He has preceded her in death.

She is also preceded in death by two brothers: Dr. Clifford Leadingham and Dr. Henry Leadingham.

She is survived by one daughter: Jan Smith and her husband Virgil of Roswell. One granddaughter: Tina Garcia and her husband Patrick of Rio Rancho, New Mexico two greatgranddaughters: Shelby and Kaitlin Garcia one great grandson: Trason Garcia and one greatgreat grandson: Daxden Isaiah Garcia, all of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. One brother: Dr. Ed Leadingham and his wife Betti of Roswell three sisters: Lillian Rayburn of Ashland, Kentucky, Randi and her husband Clarence Williams of Lexington, Kentucky and Bobbe and her husband Jim Poe of Zanesville, Ohio, along with numerous special nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a very special friend Stu Putnam of Roswell, New Mexico and a host of many friends.

Estie and her family moved to Roswell in 1963. She worked as a bookkeeper for 21 years at Diamond A Cattle Company and retired in 1990. She enjoyed traveling and visiting with family and friends. She also enjoyed bowling and golf. She loved her church families at Grace Community Church and Bethel Baptist Church. Her favorite time spent was being surrounded by family and friends.
