No services are scheduled for Eunice Edwards, age 82, of Roswell who passed away on December 20, 2013.
Eunice was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Marion and Ima Webb on February 16, 1931.
She moved to Roswell in 1941, at the age of 10 years old. She married James Edwards on February 5, 1976. He survives her.
She is also survived by two sons: Robert Jones and his wife Sarah of Clearwater, Kansas, Dennis Edwards and his wife Martha of Prescott Valley, Arizona two daughters: Janice Jones of Austin, Texas and Karen Duke of Denton, Texas one brother: Charles Webb of Douglas, Wyoming one sister: Juanita Carter and her husband Art of Salt Lake City, Utah grandchildren: Michelle, Gabriel, Sandra, Rise, Aisha, Amanda, Jessica, Grace, Stephanie, Austin, and Jerimiah Great Grandchildren: Sydnie, Rylee, Emma, Kainan, Cassidy, Kali, Brandon, Clay, Asata, Amina, Ajahni, Ari, Alex, Autum, Gary, June, Ruby, Rayden, Elijah, Xavier, Hunter, Brent, Chloe, Peyton and Unique GreatGreat Grandchildren: Kace and Sophia.
She has been preceded in death by her parents Marion and Ima May Webb. Her brothers
Clifford Webb, Carl Webb, Cole Webb, Coy Webb. Her son Don Edwards and great grandson Nicholas Burr.
Eunice was retired from the oil and gas industry and was an independent sales representative with Avon for 22 years. She was an active involved member of the American Business Womens Association ABWA since 1980 and held offices of recording secretary, vice president, president and served in many other roles with a special dedication to the scholarship program. She was elected as ABWA Women of the Year in 1997. Eunice was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, serving as President from 19971998. She volunteered yearly at the election polls and served as chief election inspector.
Eunice was loving, kind and a very giving mother, wife, sister, granny, and friend. She loved unique fun with family and friends. Eunice enjoyed fishing, reading, playing pool, card games, dancing, crocheting, and especially helping others.
She was a member of the Assurance Home and in lieu of flowers would like donations made to them at: 1000 E. 18th St., Roswell, NM 88201.
