ANGELL, FLODELL BURTON Memorial Graveside Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 10, 2012 at South Park Cemetery, for Flodell Burton Angell, of Roswell, who passed from this life on October 30, 2012 at 91 years of age.
She was born December 22, 1920 to Lee and Gertie Tibbets Holcomb in House, NM, where she lived until she was 18 years old. She graduated from high school in House and then moved to Roswell.
She met and married Dub Burton on October 24,1942. They were married 30 years until his death in January, 1972. To that union were born two daughters. Elaine Britt and her husband Hank of Dexter. They have three children Shane Britt and his wife Brenda and his son Matthew of Dexter, William Britt and his wife Sandy of Dexter and his son, John Henry Britt and his wife Courtney of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Natalie Swinney and her husband Kennon of Dexter, and their three children, Wyatt, Bailey and Heath.
The youngest daughter Kathy Barnett and her husband Tay of Ruidoso. They have three children daughters: Bronwyn Parsons and her husband Preston of Encinitas, CA. They have one daughter, Isla Parsons. Keely Tondino and her husband Jonathan of Ruidoso, they have one son, Luca. Son: Gage Barnett a college student of Encinitas, California.
Flodell met Roy Angell at Country Club Road Church of Christ in Roswell. They married June 28, 1975. Roy had four children Sylvia Higgins and her husband Don, Larry Angell and his wife Susan, Lynn Angell and wife Jamie, and Bruce Angell and his wife Mary, and their families.
Flodell was a devout Christian all of her life. She had a beautiful, loving and gentle spirit. She loved the Lord, her family, Country Club Road Church of Christ and caring for her home. She was a devoted wife and care giver to both Dub Burton and Roy Angell during their illness until their death.
The families wish to thank Hospice who came and worked so lovingly and diligently in caring for Flodell. A special thank you to Glynn Shelton for his loving heart and helping hands, and LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Also special thanks to Wyatt Swinney who served Communion at home until Flodells death.
