Flora Witherspoon

WITHERSPOON, FLORAMemorial services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Westminster Presbyterian Church for Flora Witherspoon, age 93, of Roswell, who passed away November 8, 2008. Pastor Tracy Spencer-Brown of Westminster Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Flora was born April 3, 1915 in Dallas, Texas to Frank and Ethel Fitch. They preceded her in death.

She married Phil Witherspoon on August 24, 1946 in Silver City, New Mexico. He has also preceded her in death.

Flora is survived by a son, Phil Witherspoon Jr. and his wife Jean of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Daughters: Barbara Wilkerson and her husband Jim of San Diego, California, Ana Duffey and her husband Bob of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Frances Lee Witherspoon of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Flora was a housewife. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder and a deacon. She was the President of the Wilson-Cobb Genealogical Library, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
