LAMBERT, FLORINE ADAMS --- Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, September 8, 2008, ar 11:00 A. M., at South Park Cemetery for Florine Adams Lambert, age 90, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Roswell, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Reverend Gorton Smith of First United Methodist Church will officiate.

Family will receive friends at LaGrone Funeral Chapel Sunday, September 7, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

She is survived by her son Jim Adams and wife Diane of Broomfield, CO; daughter-in-law, Roby Adams of Albuquerque; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Adams in 1977; husband, Gaynord Lambert in 1996; and son, Larry Adams in 2007.

Florine was born and raised in Quitman, AR and played girls basketball and other sports long before it was common. She moved to New Mexico in the 1940's and married Buddy Adams. In addition to raising her family, she won numerous awards selling real estate in Roswell. She retired in 1981, moving to Albuquerque with her husband, Gaynord Lambert to be close to her two sons.
