Frances Schunk

SCHUNK, FRANCES Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 22, 2010
at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, for Frances Schunk, age 93, of Roswell, who passed away July 18, 2010. Deacon Candidate Frank Pittman of Assumption Catholic Church will conduct the service with burial at Memory Lawn.

There will be visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel.

Frances was born December 3, 1916 in Hazelridge Manitoba, Canada to Paul and Katrina Krafchak. They have preceded her in death.

She married Arnold Arnie Schunk on July 19, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois. He also preceded her in death.

Frances was a 7th and 8th grade Science and Math teacher in Downers Grove, Ill. She was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church, and the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed volunteering and helping out in the community.

Survivors include a son: Wayne Shek and his wife Barbara of Downers Grove, ILL two daughters: Genny Schunk of Roswell, and Grace Wolowiec and her husband Wayne of Lemont, ILL grandchildren: Robyn Wolowiec, Laura Wolowiec, Edward Shek and Amy Gilbertson great grandchildren: Devin Wolowiec, Alexandria Shek, Nathaniel Shek, Noah Shek, Madelane Shek, Maria Gilbertson and Emma Gilbertson and a sister Victoria Tabor of Chicago, ILL.

A very special thank you to the girls at the Joy Center. Mom loved going there for over 5 years. Alma, Michelle, Betsy and all of you are Gods angels on earth. Special thank you also to the compassionate and caring staff at La Villa Rose Garden. You all were wonderful.
