LAREZ, FRANCISCA KIKA TORRESFuneral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 27, 2013 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, 900 S. Main, Roswell, NM 88203 for Francisca Kika Torres Larez, age 91, of Artesia, who passed away June 22, 2013. Pastor Josue Torres and Pastor Rick Ketterling will officiate with interment to follow at Hagerman Cemetery.

Kika was born August 22, 1921 in Colorado City, Texas to Encarnacion Zubiate Torres and Evarista Torres. They have preceded her in death as well as four husbands, Jose Marquez, Placido Villanueva, Lino Cano and Felipe Larez two daughters: Maria Magdelena Marquez and Celia Marquez Villa Son: Moises Marquez six brothers and four sisters
Kika is survived by three brothers: Esteban Torres, Ishmael Torres and Josue Torres four Sons: Esequiel Marquez and wife Emma of Levelland, TX, Roy Marquez and wife Lilly of Carlsbad, NM, Pete Marquez and wife Prissy of Carlsbad, NM and Steve Marquez and wife Denyce of Eastvale, CA five daughters: Rita Martinez of Roswell, NM, Lydia Benavidez and husband Blas of Carlsbad, NM, Josie Madrid and husband Sam of Artesia, NM, Juanita Tuttle and husband Brigham of Capitan, NM and Irma Gamboa and husband Abraham of Roswell, NM 32 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, 49 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchildren.

Kika enjoyed her grandchildren and gardening. She was involved in her church. Her best times were spent with her children and grandchildren. She looked forward to our family gatherings. She had a special way of making you feel welcomed when you came by to visit.. Her family and friends were always greeted with a wonderful meal of her FAMOUS red enchiladas.

Pallbearers will be Leon Marquez, Marina Torrez, Gloria Barela, John David Delgado, Randy Gamboa, Eric Marquez, Andrew Marquez, Cruzita Marquez and Paul Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren.
