Frank Frankforther

FRANKFORTHER, FRANK Services are scheduled at St. Marks Lutheran Church, for Monday, March 8, 2010, at 10:00 AM, for Franklin E. Frankforther, age 95, of Roswell, who passed away March 3, 2010 at his home. Pastor Bill Bruggeman of St. Marks Lutheran Church will conduct the service. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery, with military rites provided by the Roswell Veteran Honor Guard.

Frank was born August 1, 1919 in Concordia, Kansas, to Eugene and Selma O. Anderson Frankforther, who preceded him in death, as well as his son, Robert L. Frankforther, who died in 1998.

In 1931, Frank met Maxine Mae Degan and they became best friends, and became life partners on October 15, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri. She survives him at the family home in Roswell.

Frank served his country during WWII in the U. S. Army. He served in New Guinea, Luzon, and received Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Two Bronze Stars, Phillippine Liberation Ribbon,
American Campaign Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal.

Before his retirement, he had been employed by Texaco as District Manager.
