Bartlett, age 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior on the 26th day of December with his loved ones by his side. brbrFred was born on the 3rd of October, 1924 in Altus, Arkansas to Lee Troy Bartlett and Willie Mae Horner Bartlett. Both have preceded him in death.brbrFred married Clora Belle Davis on the 14th of July, 1943. They had three children. A son, Russell Troy Bartlett, who went to be with his Lord and Savior on the 1st of October, 2004.brbrSurviving at the home is his beloved wife, Clora Belle Bartlett, 2 children, William Lee Bartlett and his wife Elizabeth of Roswell and Fredda Sanders and her husband Lorin Sanders of Roswell., eight grandchildren, Melissa McKelvey, Russell Bartlett, Billy Bartlett, Christabelle Abbott, Jennifer Johnson, Troy Bartlett . Nine great grandchildren, Jeremie, Joshua, Samantha McKelvey, Kevin Durbin, Kacie, Cody, Kaylin and Kori Bartlett, Kalie Fairclough, all of Roswell. One sister Helen Hay of California and one brother, Jim Johnson of Florida and a brother, Edward Johnson, who preceded him in death. Fred served his country during World War II in the Third Army., 4th Armored Division, known as Pattons Pride Glory. He served in the Battle of the Bulge, Ardiennes Forest and many others. He came home in 1946.brbrPallbearers will be Billy Bartlett, Joshua McKelvey, Jeremie McKelvey, Daniel Dawkins, Kevin Durbin, and Kevin Raymer. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Bartlett, Steve Smith, John G.Amador, Bob Booth, Samantha McKelvey and Archie Langford.brbrFred loved his wife and family. Everyone needs a giant in their lives and Fred was that giant to his family and many friends. Fred worked as a carrier for the Roswell Daily News for 40 years.brbrServices will be held at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at 2:00. P.
