Fred Vanover

November 11, 1946 — October 16, 2011

VANOVER, FRED G. Fred G. Vanover, loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather. Passed away at his earthly paradise the Capitan mountains on Sunday October 16th. Fred was born November the 11th 1946 to LG Vanover and Ouida Vanover in Rule, Texas. Fred and family moved to Roswell New Mexico in 1987 where he was a refrigeration technician. The last several years he owned and operated his own company.
Fred is survived by his wife Paula of the home, one daughter Jamie Pitts, three sons Freddie Vanover Jr. of Roswell, Jeffery Vanover, of Catawba, North Carolina, Jay Paul Vanover and wife Kim, of Eunice, New Mexico. Four grandchildren, Chance Kane, Sarah Kane, John Vanover, Safari Vanover. His father LG Vanover, and step mother, Rosa Nell of Ruidosa, New Mexico. One sister Pat Reynolds and husband Jim of Austin, Texas, two brothers, Jack Vanover and wife Rhonda, of Lubbock ,Texas. Wyatt Vanover, of Holiday, Florida. Numerous nieces and nephews and many great friends. Fred was precided in death by his mother Ouida Vanover, one son Carol Vanover, brother, Lewis Vanover. maternal and fraternal grandparents.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held on Saturday October 22nd at 11:00 am at Highland Baptist Church. Rev. Jack Ferguson will officiate with assistance by Rev. Richard Smith. Honorary pallbearers Leroy Pearson, Lonnie Stevenson, Bert Eldredge, Ben Allen, Dale Goode, Charlie Sparnon, Dave Micklevitz, Doug Gadberry, Doug Arnold, Keneth Ervin.
Fred has many friends in the area who will miss his great sence of humor and slow Texas drawl, he cared for you all.
