Gail Rutledge

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 30, 2015 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Gail Rutledge of Roswell, NM. Pastor Rick Hale of Grace Community Church will officiate. A graveside service will be held 10:00 am, Friday, May 1, 2015 at Lawn Haven Cemetery in Clovis, NM.

Gail will lie instate 8:00am to 7:00pm, Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel.

"Minnie Gail", as known by her family, passed away on April 26, 2015 in Roswell, NM. She was 72. Gail was born to Glenn Earl and Beulah Mae Stanley Redwine in Lubbock, TX on July 4, 1942. Gail was a loving mother of six, whose love of family preceded all things in life. She spent her childhood on a farm, and always had fond memories of farm life.

Gail married Edward Rutledge on September 2, 1960 in Clovis, NM. She spent the next few years following Edward's career building grain elevators for Borden, Inc. while raising her children and living briefly in many locations. They settled in Ft. Sumner for a few years and then moved to Roswell. One of her most noted vocations was as a server at Roswell Inn and later becoming a home health care provider. Gail was a Christian and a fond member of Grace Community Church. Gail had many hobbies, some of which included reading books, dancing, "attempting" to complete puzzles, spending time with her grandchildren, and "dragging" her children to family reunions.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Charles Redwine and sister Rosie Gulley. Survivors include her brothers: Kenneth Redwine of Gruver, TX; Jimmy (Janie) Redwine of Stinnett, TX; sister Wanda Redwine of Perryton, TX; and sister-in-law Linda Redwine of Farnsworth, TX. Her children: Gayla (Kenneth) Laechelin of San Antonio, TX; Edward Rutledge, Jr. of Monahans, TX; Theresa (Doug) Whitney of Roswell, NM; Tamara (Brent) Hall of Lubbock, TX; Michael (Kelly) Rutledge of Clovis, NM; and Patrick Rutledge of Roswell, NM. She is also survived by 16 very loved grandchildren and 15 precious great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Laechelin, Doug Whitney, Brent Hall, Michael Mobley, Nathan Graham and Jonathan Brits.
