George Stapp

STAPP, GEORGE ELMO Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 10:00 A.M at Immanuel Baptist Church in Ft. Stockton, Texas for George Elmo Stapp, age 88, of Roswell, NM, who passed away May 29, 2011. Rev. George Goodman from Lockhart, Texas will officiate. Burial will be held at East Hill Cemetery in Ft. Stockton, Texas.

George was born on September 1, 1922 in San Angelo, Texas to Acey and Carrie Stapp. They have preceded him in death.

He served in the United States Air Force during WWII where he met and married Joan M. Keam in Rochester, England on April 14, 1945. She preceded him in death.

He was the owner and operator of Elmos Plumbing in Ft. Stockton, Texas for 34 years.

He is survived by his dear friend: Margaret Newton of Roswell, NM two sons: Dean Stapp and his wife Sharon of Ft. Stockton, Texas and George Stapp and his wife Pam of Roswell, New Mexico two brothers: A.D. Stapp of Junction, Texas and Kenneth Stapp of McKinney, Texas three grandchildren: Deana Sanders, Andrea Stapp, and Garret Stapp two greatgrandchildren: Justin Stapp and Wesley Dean Ivie.

George was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a life member of the NRA.
