BALLEW, GERALDINEGraveside funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Thursday, August 9,2012 at South Pane Cemetery for Geraldine Maurice Ballew who passed away on August 4, 2012 at her home. Pastor Robert M. Ballew II will officiate,
Geraldine was born April 10, 1919 at Cleburne, Texas, to Charles and Vera Isbell. She married Robert Martin Ballew October 18, 1941, in Roswell, NM. They retired in 1980 after owning and operating Ballew Brothers Wholesale tor 31 years. After retirement, they traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, China, Singapore, Australia, and Fiji.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her four brothers. She is survived by nephews Charles Isbell, nieces Linda Woody, Laura Gestes, Joan Isbell. Jean Cochran all residents of Texas nephew Raymond Ballew and niece Lorene Biddy residents of Oklahoma nephew Ronald Ballew of New Mexico and several great and greatgreat nephews and nieces.
Geraldine was a charter member of the BPO Does, recognized as a past president, past district president and a Five Year Officer. She was also a member of the Berrendo Cowbelles, American Legion Auxiliary, Life Member DAV Auxiliary, and Life Member VFW Auxiliary Senior Circle. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing in all kinds Of weather and locations.
