RASCO, GERALDINE -- Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, at South Park Cemetery, for Geraldine Rasco, age 81 of Roswell who passed away February 20, 2007 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Dr. Ed Meyers of the First Baptist Church will conduct the service. BRBRGeraldine was born October 29, 1925 in Portland, Tennessee, to Charles and Bessie Lewis Hanna. She graduated Salutatorian of her high school class in 1945, in Portland. Her parents preceded her in death, as well as a daughter, Sammie Simons who died in 2004, and 1 brother and 1 sister. BRBRShe married Sam L. Rasco on December 24, 1947 in Franklin, Kentucky. He passed away on November 8, 2003. BRBRGeraldine is survived by two daughters, Deborah McFadin and her husband Danny of Allen, Texas and Alta Featherstone of Roswell. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. BRBRShe was of the Baptist faith, and was a homemaker, artist and poet. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was well traveled and took pride in having lived in or visited 39 of the 50 United States. She and her husband were avid fishermen.
