Gladys Blacklock

BLACKLOCK, GLADYS MARIE GOLDSTON Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 29, 2011 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, for Gladys Marie Goldston Blacklock, age 84 of Logan, New Mexico, formerly of Roswell, New Mexico, who passed away September 26, 2011 in Amarillo, TX. Gladys was a resident of Autumn Blessings Assisted Living since 2003. Pastor Mike Knowlton of Waymaker Church will officiate.
Gladys was born August 5, 1927 in Petersberg, Texas to Sidney and Gladys L.D. Goldston. Both parents have preceded her in death, as well as a son, Van W. Blacklock and a brother, Sidney Estelene Goldston.
Gladys married Oscar Tharp Blacklock on January 7, 1945 in Roswell. He also preceded her in death on August 19, 1988.
Gladys was a LPN, having graduated from St. Marys Hospital School of Nursing. She was a former employee of ENMMC for 25 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters: Tamy J. Willard of Logan, NM and Connie L. Williams of Amarillo, TX five grandchildren: Gary Willard and his wife Samantha, Marsha Harrison and her husband Glen , Renee Graveline, Rochelle Graveline all of Roswell and Russell Schramm of Amarillo and six great grandchildren.
