Grace Buffington

BUFFINGTON, GRACEServices for Grace Buffington, who passed away December 24, 2010 will be held at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2010. Pastor Tim Arlett of First Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be held at Memory Lawn Memorial Park following services.

Grace was born in Wellston, Oklahoma on June 18, 1916 to E.R. and Samantha Johnson Clonts. She spent her early years there. In 1942 she received a B.S. Degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. Grace taught school for nine years in Oklahoma before moving to New Mexico.

Grace married Dale Buffington, now deceased, May 23, 1943 at the First Christian Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She taught school twenty five years in the Roswell Independent School District. All together Grace taught thirty five years.

Grace had been an active member of the First Christian Church since 1953.

Survivors include her son John and his wife Patti of Ruidoso, NM, her granddaughter Lisa and her husband Ranson Bradford, also, great grandchildren, Grace Bradford and Houston Bradford all of Fredericktown, Missouri

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, eight sisters and one brother.
