Grace Huddle

Grace Comstock Chrisman Huddle was born on August 29, 1909 in Red Oak Iowa to Frank and Mae Comstock who preceded her in death. She passed from this life January 7, 2013 at the age of 103 years. Grace taught school after college in rural Iowa then in December 1936 she married Willie T. Chrisman. They left Iowa in 1955 to settle in Carlsbad, NM. Willie passed from this life in 1969. Grace married Ernest Huddle and moved back to Iowa in 1977. New Mexico drew her back when Ernest passed away in 1983 and she has been a resident of Roswell ever since.

In June of 1980 Graces 15 year old grandson Mark Patterson of Roswell was killed in a motorcycle accident. A granddaughter Zoe Ann Coulter Johnson passed away New Years Eve 2006 , Graces son Joe O Chrisman of Roswell passed away in March 2007 and Grandson Terry Bed Coulter passed away November 2011.

She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Hunnicutt and her husband Bud who retired to Edgewood, NM.

Grace was blessed with another daughter Bonnell Coulter who is retired and living in Kansas City, MO

Beside her two daughters Grace is survived by 3grandsons, Don Coulter of Platte City MO, Joe N. Chrisman of Norman, OK, and Danny Patterson of Wills Point, TX. Two granddaughters, Beth Isler of Carlsbad, NM and Dana Lott of Bellevue, NE. The mother of 3 of her grandchildren, Betty Ullery has been close throughout the years.

Grace was an active member of the Country Club Rd church of Christ until her health kept her from attending. Her ministry was to visit the sick and shutins. Her quiet spirit and gentle demeanor personified the attitude of Christ.

Grace will be buried in Carlsbad, NM next to her husband and father of her children
There will be no formal service. Just the memories of a Godly woman who put God and family first in her life and has now met her master to hear the words. Well done good and faithful servant.
