MCPHERSON, GUY BUDDYServices are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2008 at Church on the Move for Guy Buddy McPherson, age 71, of Roswell who went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Pastors Troy Smothermon and Ruben Rodriguez with Church on the Move will officate with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.

Buddy was born October 13, 1936 in Russellville, Kentucky to Clarence and Mary Olian Epley McPherson. His parents preceded him in death as well as sons Rick McPherson, Dewane Mayes, brothers, Rayburn McPherson and Lloyd McPherson, sisters, Alyne Bradley and Florene Shipper

On June 14, 1980 Buddy married Pearlene Mayes in Roswell. She survives him at the family home.

Buddy is survived by daughters: DeAnna Guynes of Agoura Hills, Ca, Brenda Buckelew and Denna Garcia of Roswell and Lisa Simmons of Lubbock, Texas; Sons: Deland Potts of Oklahoma, Doug Mayes of Roswell, Dale Mayes of Pensacola, FL,; brothers: Kenneth McPherson of Toledo, Ohio,; Sisters: Doris Shaw of Toledo, Ohio,; daughter in-law: Mary McPherson; 25 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Buddy was a great husband, dad and grandpa. He was loved very much by all that were involved in his life. Everyone was always greeted with a big smile and even bigger baby blue eyes. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. We greatly appreciate all his friends that blessed his life.

Pallbearers will be Dusty Johnson, Angel Garcia, Anthony Mayes, Cody Buckelew, Ralph Meadows and Cleo Mayes. Honorary Pallbearers are Doug Buckelew, Gary Simmons, Doug Mayes, Dale Mayes, Frankie Garcia and Hayden Simmons.
