Harold Killgo

March 12, 1942 — August 16, 2015

A memorial service will be held at Christ's Church, 2200 N. Sycamore Ave., Roswell NM on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 3:00 pm, for Harold (Hugo) Killgo.
Hugo passed away on August 16, 2015 after a courageous 11 year battle with cancer at the age of 73. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family. If love could have saved him he would have lived forever.
Hugo was born in Ft. Worth, Texas March 12, 1942. He was raised mainly in the panhandle of Texas on farmland and lakes, the oldest of 3 children.
Hugo was a very talented mechanic. He was the owner and operator of Killgo's Brake and Alinement until he retired and sold the business in 2014. In his younger days he was a very competitive drag racer with some of the best drag cars.
Hugo was very active throughout the years in just about any activity you could think of. He played volleyball in his younger days. He became involved in competition bass fishing, he was an avid golfer, an amazing bowler, darn good softball player and an even better dart player. He won many trophies, awards and tournaments in everything he was ever involved in. He found the time to coach several of his children's sports activities. He strived to be the best at everything he attempted. The best prize he ever obtained was all of the very special friends he acquired throughout the years in all he was involved in and through his business. His coffee shop buddies and all of the many friends he had meant the world to him. He was the grumpy guy that never smiled with the sour look on his face that could make you laugh and feel loved. His sense of humor was second to none.
The love of his life, Gwin and his children and grandchildren were his everything. He tried to be at every sporting event he could to cheer them on.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife and care taker of 49 years Gwin Killgo, his children and grandchildren, Starla Nunez and Henry, Trevor and Taryn of Roswell; Michael Killgo and Kathryn of Pampa TX, Mitchell Killgo , Chelsea and Jaxx of Amarillo TX; Collin Killgo, Sage and Liam of Pampa TX; Tobi Killgo, Shaylan Savell, MaKenzie Savell and Robert Perez and Lathyn, Jordan Savell and Jarron Savell of Hobbs NM; Heidi Killgo and Alexa Tegeda, Tahny Barela and Gabriel Miller of Coeur D' Alene ID; Biological Mother Martha Sparks of Roswell NM;
Brother, Danny Killgo and family of Arizona; Sister, Debbie Rogers and family of Roswell NM.
Hugo was preceded in death by both of his parents, D.P. Killgo and Laveda Taylor Killgo.

The family would like to thank all of the staff at the cancer center for all of the love they gave to Hugo on a daily basis. To him you were all like family.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Trevor Nunez, Mitchell Killgo, Collin Killgo, Taryn Nunez, Jordan Savell and Jarron Savell.

Honorary Pallbearers: All of the Pecos Valley Dart Association, The morning coffee crew and all of his friends. There were so many special people in his life that meant the world to him.
